Location – Chatham, Kent
Hours – 37.5 hours per week
Working Pattern – Monday to Friday
Salary / Band – Starting at £25,500 per annum

The Training & Volunteer Development Co-ordinator is part of the Medway Wellness and Recovery Service, and is responsible for implementation, development and co-ordination of the volunteers within the service including recruitment and retention.

What you’ll be doing
As the Training & Volunteer Development Co-ordinator you will deliver a comprehensive induction and training package to Volunteers, Recovery Champions, and Mentors, including the NCFE level 2 in Peer Mentoring accredited qualification. You will also be responsible for leading on the Education, Training and Employment (ETE) element of the service, liaising with other agencies to include the promotion of services at Open Road and to identify ETE opportunities for service users, volunteers, families and careers. You will also undertake monthly volunteer supervisions and development plans, and provide group and training facilitation such as SMART Recovery.

What you need
– A commitment to multi-agency working and working in partnership with other agencies within the treatment system to achieve good outcomes for clients.
– To hold a relevant qualification and/or at least 2 years’ experience in Managing staff / volunteers (desirable).
– experience working with substance misuse.
– The ability to maintain professional integrity and boundaries at all times with clients, peers and other relevant professionals.
– To hold a relevant qualification or experience in providing training to groups
